Like most natural materials, keep the bag in a well ventilated area and preferably inside a dust bag. A stable brush is recommended to remove dust from the bag - make sure to gently clean under the scales. After dusting, you may use a reptile skin cream to condition the bag.

Light stains can be removed with a slightly-wet almost-dry damp cloth. For severe stains, please visit a professional cleaning service. Cleaning at home with water is not recommended due to cracking that results when the skin absorbs water. Avoid taking your bag out during rainy weather and using artificial heat (like a blow dryer) to dry because it will cause the skin to crack.
