Following proper care instructions is particularly important for rabbit fur. While the fur is thick and durable, avoid storing and exposing to high heat and light and avoid constant rubbing, foreign contact, and direct pressure on fabric. It’s necessary to make sure you store your rex rabbit items in something that allows them to breathe. Never store in plastic containers or bags, as this can trap moisture within the material. Remove stains from the fur as soon as possible. Blot up as much of the stain as possible with a soft rag and void rubbing or the stain may spread. It is okay to use a naturally-derived mild shampoo, free of dyes, phthalates, sulfates, and parabens, to lightly wipe material. Do not allow the moisture to soak through the backside of the fur.
It is advised to take your bag to a professional fur cleaner every year.
